I'm a passionate mushroom grower and self-taught cultivator who transformed a spare closet into a productive indoor growing setup seven years ago. What started as curiosity about oyster mushrooms has evolved into a hands-on practice spanning edible varieties, medicinal species like lion's mane and reishi, and specialty cultivars. I document what actually works (and what doesn't) in real home environments—no sterile lab conditions. When I'm not tending my current crop or experimenting with new substrate recipes, I'm usually in my basement workshop troubleshooting humidity levels, researching spawn techniques, or helping friends start their first kits. I have a rescue dog named Spore who tolerates the smell of the growing room.
